We are so excited to welcome Lovette Mba to the Destination Innovation team, as the program manager to Camp Destination Innovation!
Lovette Mba, a native of Wichita, and she is dedicated to empowering young innovators to build out their dreams and shoot for the stars. Rooted in her commitment to community upliftment and cultural resurgence, Lovette blends her Bachelor's in Business Management from Langston University with skills in program management, design thinking, and leadership. Her dedication to reshaping communities of color fuels her innovative spirit, infusing each endeavor with creativity and a clear vision.

Lovette's journey with us began in high school, where she participated as a camper at Camp Destination Innovation. Returning during college breaks, she interned with us. And most recently, she participated in our Wings Up! program, which connects young people with internships. Lovette interned at The Kansas African American Museum, where she contributed to our summer camp programming. Camp DI & TKAAM partnered to put together a summer program for youth, lead by Lovette.

We asked Lovette, how do you feel about being the new Camp Destination Innovation program manager?
“I feel like I have big shoes to fill! Mrs. Marquetta really paved the way, and set the culture for Camp DI. Camp DI really gave me the motivation to show up and view the attributes that make me different as my superpowers. I'm honored to be trusted with such a gem, and am excited to put my flair on it.”
What are you looking forward to most in this position?
“I’m looking forward to mobilizing a community of young people who want to create change, today! The Wichita we want to see won't come about if everyone continues to wish. If every young person allows their unique background to fuel their passions, then Wichita will be transformed to fit the needs of every diverse young professional.”
